Coldwater United Methodist Church

Jesus said, "Away from me Satan, for it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God and serve Him only.'" (Matthew 4:10)

Coldwater United Methodist Church has been an important part of the Coldwater, Kentucky community for nearly 160 years. Our church, originally called Stoney Point, was organized in 1850. The first building, which was a log building, was located 1/2 mile east of Coldwater.

A new church was built in 1879 about 1/2 mile south of Coldwater. It was called Stone's Chapel in honor of George Stone who donated the land for the church.
The current building was constructed in 1914 on land that was also donated by George Stone. This building has had several additions and remodeling projects through the years. The latest renovation project was completed in December 2006 with many improvements that will allow us to continue serving our community for many years to come.
